And I, infinitesimal being,
drunk with the great starry void,
likeness, image of mystery,
I felt myself a pure part of the abyss...
(fr. Poetry by Pablo Neruda)

Main Paintings and Photographs

Michael McGoodwin Original "Artsy" Photographs

I had greater ambitions for this section than I have been able to realize so far, due to various distractions—please consider this a concept rather than a completed project.

All images in this section are copyrighted by Michael McGoodwin.  You may use these for noncommercial purposes only.  Original photographic images were taken with a Nikon 5400 Coolpix camera in 5 MP resolution and Fine compression except as noted.  All images are in 24 bit color.  Various adjustments have been made in Photoshop CS, including cropping, levels, color balance, size and resolution, etc., but if the image has been composited, montaged, or substantially retouched, this will generally be noted.  Thumbnails generally show only a portion of the image.

Michael McGoodwin Digital Art Compositions

I claim no artistic expertise, but enjoyed learning a little about these techniques in a course that I was not able to complete—please consider this a concept rather than a completed project.  All images in this section are copyrighted by Michael McGoodwin.  You may use these for noncommercial purposes only.  Original vector graphics images were created in Adobe Illustrator unless otherwise noted and converted to JPEGs for web display.  Original pixel (raster) images were created in Adobe Photoshop.  All images are in 24 bit color.  Thumbnails generally show only a portion of the image.
